Sycamore Ethiopia Tours - Axum

Axum is the center and cradle of Ethiopian civilization not only that Axum is the most sacred city in Ethiopia and final resting place of the Ark of Covenant.

To day you will explore the ancient city of Axum and its main attractions; Axum Obelisks , Tombs , Ezana Inscription , Kaleb Tomb , Axum St. Mary Zion church and the queen of Sheba's Place .

After breakfast, we drive 115 km to the famous monastery of Debre Damo built on top of flat topped mountain and built in the 6thc A.D by St. Aregawi . The only Acces to the church is just using rope and climb 15m high. On the way back stop at Inticho town for lunch. Afternoon continue to the great Temple of Yeha where the sabean people used to believe and scarifies in the temple . Finally, drive to Axum and stop at the Adwa battle field and spectacular mountains.

Day1.Axum city tour
To day you will visit the historical city of Axum mainly we start our tour to the giant Obelisks , underground tombs , Archeological museom , swimming pool of Queen of Sheba , Ezana inscription , tomb of King Kaleb and Gebre Meskel as well as Queen of Shiba's Palace. O/n Axum

Day2. Excursion to Yeha Temple
After breakfast , drive to the great Temple of Yeha around 55km through the magnifient and stunning mountains of Adwa. Up on arrival in the village of Yeha you will see the Temple , Museom , St. Marry church and the Grat Beal Gibri palace and Taxation place. O/n Axum
