Review Wonderful road trip in the north

As a group of 5 students, we had an amazing time in the northern part of Ethiopia. The first day Asu welcomed us with open arms to discuss the details of our trip. We had an excellent driver/guide (Misikir Nida) who always showed us the most beautiful places along the road and the best hotels/restaurants for our budget in town. Also, he took us to many local events which allowed us to celebrate the Ethiopian new year with the locals. We had the feeling that we could connect better with the local people thanks to Misikir.
The nature of northern Ethiopia is just outstanding: Blue nile gorge, Simien mountains, rock-hewn churches of tigray and the danakil depression. All these landscapes are one-of-a-kind and you cannot see them anywhere else in the world. We strongly recommend the hiking tours in the Simien mountains and Gheralta cluster (Tigray) which give you the best opportunity to see all the facets of the Ethiopian landscape. Our local guides were well-educated (english) and knew the region very well.
The trip ended in style with a lunch with Asu and Misikir in Addis. I want to thank each of them for their excellent service. The tour had everything we hoped for: good suggestions along the way, freedom to choose ourselves and guidance in an amicale atmosphere. Fisheagle tours is maybe a small company, but is definitely an experienced tour company which you should consider when travelling to Ethiopia.
